Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team as a Lead Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering with a particular emphasis on Power BI and SQL. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture data modeling and data integration processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring the availability and reliability of data for analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support data ingestion transformation and storage.
Utilize Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Write complex SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyze data from various sources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues related to data processing and storage.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.
Mentor and guide junior data engineers in best practices and technical skills.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong proficiency in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
Expertise in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
Experience with data modeling and database design.
Ability to work with large datasets and optimize data processing workflows.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation.
Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark) is a plus.
Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
Years of Experience:
Must have at least 5 years of experience as Data Engineer in Power BI
Must have telecom experience
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
