Contract Position Work days/hours: M-F 8am - 5pm.

Onsite daily.

Technology Requirements (I.E Programs systems etc)

  • Performs hands-on mechanical assembly and sample builds including chemical mixing catheter shaft tip forming catheter coating guidewire lubrication sample photography sample characterization and preparation for conditioning or testing. Also helps confirm build readiness by checking materials equipment tooling staffing and communication between R&D ISC Engineering and the Assembly team.

What does a typical day look like (daily tasks)

  • After training on the task and build protocol the worker executes sample builds characterization and preparation. The Assembly Lead also helps organize the daily work confirms materials and equipment are ready communicates priorities or schedule changes answers routine questions escalates issues and works alongside Assembly 3 personnel when needed. Expected schedule is 8 working hours per day 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be available.

Preferred background/prior work experience

  • Mechanical build and assembly experience. Chemical mixing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience organizing work training others supporting build schedules or leading daily activities in a manufacturing or development-build environment preferred.

Priority soft skills

  • Attention to detail. Seeks to understand the task before starting. Asks questions when something is unclear then works independently once the direction is understood. Communicates clearly keeps the team organized supports other assemblers and raises concerns quickly when something looks different abnormal missing or not ready. Escalates equipment material or process issues early so the team can correct the issue before non-conforming samples are built.

Job Description:

  • Performs tasks involved in the fabrication manufacture assembly testing and packaging of medical devices.
  • Sets up operates performs maintenance on and troubleshoots equipment. May conduct quality inspections in accordance with quality specifications. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and follows quality guidelines.
  • The Assembly Lead performs the full scope of Assembly 3 work and helps keep assigned builds ready and moving. The role supports daily build planning confirms materials and equipment are available communicates priorities with R&D and ISC Engineering raises risks early and works next to the Assembly 3 team when build support is needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Desired two or more years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Prior experience organizing work training others supporting production or development-build schedules or leading daily activities preferred.
  • Must communicate clearly with co-workers engineers Team Leads and Supervisors.
  • Must be able to read write interpret and understand specifications written in English and perform basic math calculations.
  • Must be able to use basic measurement tools such as microscopes.
  • Must be able to work flexible and/or extended hours and report to work on a regular punctual basis.
  • Must have good attention to detail work well with others and be willing to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.
