Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Application Engineer to lead the design development and modernization of enterprise contact center platforms. This role will be responsible for supporting a large-scale migration from legacy on-premise contact center solutions to cloud-based CCaaS platforms such as Amazon Connect or Five9.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development API engineering cloud architecture and contact center technologies along with the ability to provide technical leadership across complex enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of scalable enterprise applications and APIs using Java.
• Design and implement cloud-based contact center and customer engagement solutions.
• Support migration from legacy contact center platforms to AWS or GCP-based CCaaS environments.
• Develop and enhance IVR routing omnichannel and workforce management capabilities.
• Integrate contact center platforms with CRM and enterprise applications.
• Define architecture standards focused on scalability performance reliability and security.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
• Drive Agile development DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java development and API engineering.
• Experience with contact center platforms such as Genesys Amazon Connect or Five9.
• Strong understanding of software architecture design patterns data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing and integrating enterprise-scale systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Connect Amazon Lex Five9 or Dialogflow CX.
• Strong cloud experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of cloud security OAuth and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with monitoring observability and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
• Prior experience leading cloud migration initiatives and contact center modernization projects.
