Full-Time School Year Position
Start Date: September 1 2026
Salary: $56000$68000 annually based on credentials and applicable DOE pay scale
- Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field required
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferably in a 3-K Pre-K or early childhood classroom
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to create and implement engaging age-appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children families and colleagues
- Familiarity with NYC DOE 3-K expectations curriculum assessments and documentation is strongly preferred
- NYS teaching certification and/or additional credentials are a plus and may impact placement on the applicable salary scale
- Lead a nurturing engaging and developmentally appropriate 3-K classroom
- Plan and implement meaningful learning experiences aligned with program and DOE expectations
- Support childrens social-emotional cognitive language physical and creative development
- Maintain classroom documentation assessments portfolios and other required records
- Establish consistent classroom routines and a positive learning environment
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding their childs development and classroom experience
- Collaborate with school leadership support staff and fellow teachers
- Maintain all classroom and program requirements in accordance with DOE DOHMH and school policies
