Laundry Worker

$26.47 per hour Full-time

Responsible for proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment maintaining records of laundry operations in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives

What you will do

• Operate laundry equipment. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Perform tests on wash formulas.
• Provide the receipt storage repair and issue of detainee necessities and implement inventory control procedures.
• Maintain related records and prepare reports.
• Requires long periods of walking and standing.
• Requires the pushing and pulling of laundry carts and lifting of laundry bags full of laundry which could weigh up to 30 lbs.
• Required to load and unload washers and dryers.
• Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.
• The incumbent is required to work overtime when directed to do so.
• Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed

What you will need

• High school diploma or GED required
• US Citizenship or Lawful US Permanent Resident required.
• One (1) year of experience in institutional laundry operations is highly desired.
• Must successfully complete required preservice training.
• Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record required unless waived by management.
