JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

The primary purpose of the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations governing our facility and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Supervisor to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean safe and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linen in on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Shifts:

• Mondays Tuesdays 3pm-8pm

• Wednesdays 7am-3pm Including every other weekend.

Experience:

• Must have 1 year or more experience in healthcare housekeeping/laundry

General Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift push pull and move equipment supplies excess of fifty (50) pounds.

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds liquids cleaning instructions etc.

• Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

• Must have a minimum one-year experience working in a nursing homehousekeeping position

• Attention to detail

• Reliable

Qualifications and Skills

Perform follow and adhere to proper body mechanics necessary to perform duties.

Must be able to stand most shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements.

Must be able to assume responsibility and possess ability to work independently problem solving and managing time.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry duties including washing drying folding and ironing patient garments and linens

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of linens towels and laundry equipment

• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area adhering to facility standards

• Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed

• Collaborate with the care team to ensure prompt delivery of clean laundry to patients

• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling patient belongings and sensitive information
