In this role you will operate laser/turret equipment in accordance to quality and production standards. If you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate turret and laser cutting equipment to produce quality metal components that meet blueprint and MPE specifications.
- Load and unload raw materials using manual lifts overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Set up operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment including tooling changes sharpening calibrations nozzle alignment and focus lens cleaning.
- Operate InspecVision scanning equipment and complete required quality and process verifications in ERP.
- Set up and operate automated sheet loaders EMLK and Apelio equipment.
- Cross-train and assist with shakeout (part separation) deburring hardware insertion and press brake operations as production needs require.
- Follow all MPE safety policies and maintain a clean organized work area.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience and Training:
- 1-3 years of set up and running laser/turret equipment or CNCs
- Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Knowledge on the use of measuring tools such as calipers pin gauges and height gauges
- Quality checks experience
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Regularly required to use hands tools and power tools
- Must be able to read and follow directions
- Specific abilities include close vision reading lifting up to 50 pounds.
