Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Will be drilling/digging holes using shovels tools and a backhoe in time
- Work with hand tools
- Will be trained on drills and backhoe in time
- Assist with pulling cable once hole is dug. The holes are for different piping/poles/cables.
- Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling through means of directional boring
- Hand dig using a shovel and mechanical tools
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
- Work in congested or remote areas
- Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewmen and all moving or stationary person vehicles and objects to ensure safe coordination of movement set up and clean up of construction site
- Clean and maintain job vehicles and equipment
Requirements
- CDL Class A in good standing
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Tolerate extreme weather conditions
- Withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting standing climbing kneeling and digging
- Ability to work in a very physical environment
- Own transportation to and from work necessary with valid CDL A drivers license
- Will meet at the Perrysburg facility every morning to carpool to the jobsite. Jobsites could be anywhere in Northwest Ohio/Southeast Michigan - mostly outskirt areas all residential areas
