LaborersatPCiRoadsaretypicallyassignedtooneoffivedifferentteamsincluding:undergroundasphaltpavingdirtstructuresorpit/-intensivetasksandisofaseasonalnaturetypicallyoccurringbetweenAprilandNovember.Travelisrequired.

PrimaryResponsibilities

• Shovelmaterial(dirtconcreteetc.)andbackfill.
• Carryladders.
• Preparetheworksite.
• Tipandrollmanholecovers.
• Standingforperiodsoftime.
• Generaldemolitiontasks.
• Assistwithequipmentmaintenance.
• Directtrafficandtrucks.
• Wearpersonalprotectiveequipmentwhenrequired.
• Communicatewithequipmentoperatorssupervisorsandotheremployees.
• Cleanandremovedebrisfromtheworkarea.
• Additionallaborerandgeneralconstructiondutiesasassigned.

WorkEnvironment

• Thereisconstantexposuretovariousweatherconditionstypicalinthestateswheretheworkisperformedincludingnoisedustandothermaterials.
• Theworkenvironmentisinareaswhereheavyequipmentpowertoolsandtrafficarepresent.
• Thereisexposuretoheightsupto50feetanddepthsofupto80feetinthisconstructionworkenvironment.
• Demonstrateorbecorrectedto20/20vision.

PhysicalDemands

• Theemployeemustbeabletolift(includingaboveshoulderorhead)moveandcarryupto50poundsfrequently.
• Frequentlyrequiredtostandwalksitusehandstoinputinformationhandlecarry(withandwithoutassistance)feelobjectstools(ofvaryingsizeandweight)orcontrols.
• Frequentlyreachwithhandsandarmsclimbstairsbalancestoopkneelbendtwistcrouchorcrawltalkandhearandtasteorsmell.
• Specificvisionabilitiesrequiredbythejobincludeclosevisiondistancevisioncolorvisionperipheralvisiondepthperceptionandtheabilitytoadjustfocus.
• Frequentexposuretohighnoiselevels.
