Laboratory Technician – Environmental (Solids)

Were seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to support the preparation processing and analysis of environmental solids samples within our environmental water testing laboratory in Conroe TX.

This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing sample preparation and producing accurate high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented safety-focused and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment.

What Youll Do

• Perform sample preparation extractions digestions and analytical testing of environmental samples
• Prepare solid and semi-solid matrices for analysis including soil sludge sediment and related environmental samples
• Perform routine laboratory calculations documentation and data review activities
• Review validate and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed
• Operate calibrate maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established procedures
• Support laboratory quality systems QA/QC programs audits corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain organized accurate and compliant laboratory records and documentation
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times productivity goals and client expectations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry Environmental Science or related scientific discipline; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Demonstrated hands-on analytical laboratory experience preferably within an environmental testing laboratory
• Prior hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel Outlook)
• Experience with LIMS systems is a plus but not required
