Assists technical personnel in performing limited testing and clerical tasks. Performs all procedures under the direct supervision of a medical technologist. Performs related duties as specimens received in the laboratory and prepares them for blood specimen collection (phlebotomy). Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Other: Skills Knowledge and Abilities: Computer skills. Organizational skills. Good communication skills. Ability to maintain accurate and orderly records. Equipment Used: Standard laboratory instrumentation.
Preferred Education: Some college courses in science preferred.
Preferred Experience: Minimum of one year phlebotomy experience preferred.
