Full time 36 hours/week EOW 7p-7a

The Birth Place at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center is an 18-room Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum unit providing family-centered care for over 1000 births annually. As a four-time Magnet-designated facility we uphold the highest standards of nursing excellence guided by AWHONN best practices and supported by the OBIX Perinatal Data System for continuous fetal monitoring. Staffed 24/7 by board-certified Obstetricians and Certified Nurse Midwives our multidisciplinary teamincluding RNs LNAs Health Unit Coordinators lactation consultants and pediatric and obstetric providersdelivers compassionate expert care in a seamless environment that includes a Level II Special Care Nursery with Mass General-affiliated Neonatologists. We promote ongoing education and certification in fetal monitoring neonatal resuscitation and obstetric emergency management to ensure safe personalized care for every family.

About the Job:
As a member of the Patient Care Services team The Birth Place (BP) Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to mothers and babies during ante- intra- and post-partum periods and includes in-unit Cesarean and other gynecological procedures.

• Assess and implement priority-based nursing care and establishes goals to meet the patients needs

• Integrate patient values best practice and evidence into patient care

• Engage patients and/or families in the care delivery

• Function competently within own scope of practice

• Utilize a communication style/practice to meet the needs of the team and/or the situation

Who You Are:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

• Current NH licensure as a Registered Nurse

• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery
