Lab Technician

Our client is an innovative fast-growing biotechnology company delivering rapid affordable DNA and RNA sequencing services to scientists worldwide. They are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support high-throughput DNA sequencing operations. Youll work with automated laboratory systems prepare sequencing libraries monitor quality troubleshoot issues and help improve laboratory workflows.

What Youll Be Doing

• Receive and log samples in the in-house LIMS and organize them into 96-well plates.
• Perform sequencing library preparation using automated liquid-handling systems.
• Load prepared libraries onto sequencers and monitor sequencing runs.
• Perform quality control investigate failed samples and repeat preparations when needed.
• Troubleshoot instrument and protocol issues independently.
• Maintain laboratory supplies and reagents and suggest protocol improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Biology or a related scientific field.
• 210 years of experience in a commercial or production laboratory; academic or research-only experience does not qualify.
• Practical experience with DNA extraction PCR NGS library preparation and DNA sequencing.
• Familiarity with liquid-handling automation 96-well plate workflows and laboratory quality control.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
• Availability to work the evening shift MondayFriday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM PT.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
