Compensation Considerations:
Job Grade: 114Hourly Pay: 18.27 - 18.67 DOE
Shift Hours: 5:00 pm - 1:30 am with Rotating Weekends Days Off During the Week
Shift Differentials: 2nd Shift 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm 9% and 11:00 pm - 7:00 am 14%
Weekend Shift Differential: 8%
Training Schedule: Must be able to do either : 0630 am -2:30 pm (Tue- Sat) or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm ( Sun-Thu) or 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (Mon- Fri) for approximately 12 weeks

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalants life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production labeling record reviewing and data entry.

- Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
- Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation separation freezing thawing washing storage sterile docking transformation and filtration.
- Ensure product quality volume appearance and time requirements.
- Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication organization and analytical skills.
- Must be able to maintain donor patient and employee confidentiality.
- Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
