Key Responsibilities:
- Perform procedures including aseptic work media preparation antigen inoculation and harvest.
- Maintain accurate and reliable record-keeping including charts log books and all pertinent documentation.
- Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks.
- Clean work areas and prepare clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use.
- Set up and operate equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Note: Embryonic eggs are utilized for virus propagation.
- Handle hazardous materials such as Isopropyl Alcohol Hydrogen peroxide and Phenolic Disinfectants.
- Key Skills;Knowledge of vaccines.
- Experience with a shift stretch of 4 - 10 hour days.
- Any lab or scientific background will work; a background in cell biology is particularly helpful.
- GMP experience is needed.
- Experience with cell culturing is very helpful.
- Prior experience with SAP is preferred.
- Experience in an aseptic/clean room environment.
- Familiarity with using pH meters UniFuge and following SOPs.
- Effective writing oral communication interpersonal and organizational skills are highly desirable.
