Job Description:

The Point-of-Care Lab Sr. Tech oversees the development implementation training competency and quality control programs for waived and non-waived testing across UToledo Health clinical sites. It ensures compliance with The Joint Commission standards through policy development site visits and collaboration with clinic leadership while serving as a technical resource and supporting accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS/BA degree from accredited institution and MT(ASCP) or equivalent ASCP certification.
Demonstrates above average ability in professional application of the principles theories and techniques of Point of Care Testing.
Minimum 1 year experience with POCT instrumentation such as: glucometer iStat Clinitek and others.
Must be proficient in Microsoft WORD.
Must have working knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheets/database. Must be proficient in EXCEL by the end of the 180-day probationary period.
