Job Details:
- Provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories.
- Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Performs general laboratory support functions such as cleaning glassware autoclaving laboratory supplies and laboratory housekeeping.
- Prepares various chemical solutions and media.
- Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies.
- Coordinates disposal of glass biohazard chemical and radiochemical laboratory waste.
- Records data and performs basic mathematical computations.
- Reviews temperature monitoring charts.
- May assist with special projects as assigned.
- Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.
- Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
- Customer service knowledge of lab operations computer skills.
- Ensuring lab equipment is operational supplies are ordered and stocked.
- Requests from team are addressed in a prompt manner including work orders etc.
- Facilitating lab clean ups etc.
- Ability to lift carry push or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Doctorate degree OR Masters degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience OR Associates degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
