Lab & Field Technician

The technician will assist with laboratory testing field inspections sample collection equipment setup and documentation. Training will be provided but prior experience with construction materials testing geotechnical testing or laboratory procedures is a plus.

• Perform laboratory testing on soil concrete and construction material samples
• Assist with tests such as organic content grain size analysis compaction testing material processing and concrete specimen compression testing
• Collect prepare label and document soil concrete and material samples
• Support field testing activities at construction sites and remote project locations
• Perform soils and concrete sampling nuclear density gauge testing field inspections and other construction-related testing tasks
• Assist with laboratory equipment setup operation cleaning and basic maintenance
• Follow testing procedures safety requirements and project specifications
• Record test results accurately and communicate findings to supervisors or project staff
• Help coordinate fieldwork including site visits sampling testing and inspection activities
• Travel to project sites in different locations or states as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in construction materials testing soils testing concrete testing or laboratory work is preferred but not required
• NCDOT and/or ACI laboratory testing certifications are a plus
• Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work outdoors on active construction sites and in laboratory settings
• Ability to work weekends extended hours and flexible schedules as needed
• Willingness to travel and work at remote job sites when required
• Valid drivers license with an excellent driving record that meets company standards
