Position Title: KVCC Assistant Womens Basketball Coach

Supervisor: Athletic Director

Salary: $2000 ($1000 fall semester $1000 spring semester)

Job Type: Part-Time

Job Summary:
The Assistant Womens Basketball Coach supports all aspects of the program. The Assistant Coach will help build and sustain a competitive program while fostering academic success leadership and personal growth among student athletes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree required or equivalent combination of training and coaching experience

• Successful coaching and recruiting experience are required; at the collegiate level is preferred

• Current CPR/AED certification or ability to attain

• Clean driving record required

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading team practices workouts and player development sessions.

• Teach basketball fundamentals team systems and offensive/defensive strategies.

• Support game preparation through scouting film breakdown and opponent analysis.

• Assist with game-day coaching bench management and in-game adjustments.

• Promote strength conditioning and injury prevention for student athletes.

• Help identify evaluate and recruit prospective student-athletes who fit KVCCs culture.

• Build and maintain recruiting relationships with coaches across Maine and New England.

• Support student-athlete academic success retention personal growth and connection to campus resources.

• Assist with program operations including travel equipment scheduling and events/camps

• Maintain compliance with institutional and athletic policies while fostering a professional inclusive and respectful team culture.
