Position Title: KVCC Assistant Golf Coach

Supervisor: Athletic Director

Salary: $1300 ($650 fall semester $650 spring semester)

Job Type: Part-Time

Job Summary: The Assistant Golf Coach supports all aspects of the mens and womens golf program. The Assistant Coach will help build and sustain a competitive program while fostering academic success leadership sportsmanship and personal growth among student-athletes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree required or an equivalent combination of training and coaching experience.
• Successful coaching and recruiting experience required at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Current CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting team practices skill development sessions and tournament preparation.
• Provide instruction in golf fundamentals including swing mechanics short game putting course management and competitive strategy.
• Assist with developing individualized training plans that support student-athlete skill development and competitive performance.
• Support tournament-day operations including travel warm-ups practice rounds course preparation tournament management and post-round evaluations.
• Help monitor student-athlete fitness wellness and conditioning while promoting healthy training habits and injury prevention.
• Build and maintain positive recruiting relationships with high school coaches golf programs junior golf organizations and prospective student-athletes throughout Maine and New England.
• Assist with program operations including equipment management travel coordination scheduling fundraising initiatives and team events.
• Maintain compliance with institutional conference and athletic department policies while fostering a positive inclusive and respectful team culture.
