45% - Create digital content for KPRs 75th anniversary celebration.

20% - Assist with social media newsletters and promotion of station programs and events.

10% - Research collect and organize historical photos recordings and documents.

10% - Support membership and donor communications including mailings and membership drives.

5% - Help with event promotion tabling and community outreach.

5% - Perform basic administrative tasks including data entry occasional help at the reception desk and meeting notes.

5% - Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview
Kansas Public Radio (KPR) seeks a motivated student intern to support the stations 75th Anniversary Project. The intern will help research and organize archival materials develop digital and visual content and assist with sharing KPRs history through social media newsletters events and other outreach efforts.

The ideal candidate will be reliable able to work a consistent schedule and be familiar with KPR programming.

KPR has been selected to receive a $3000 KAB-funded College Internship Award to help fund this internship. The chosen candidate will be required to complete a post-internship survey and submit a brief written reflection about their experience.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).

Employment Conditions
(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.

(2) This is an hourly/non-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
