About the Role
A steel company in Houston TX is hiring an Accounting Assistant Manager to handle day-to-day accounting operations and reporting. This role covers AP/AR invoicing payment processing closing support and audit preparation and includes regular communication with the headquarters in Korea.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including AP/AR invoicing and payment processing.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare accounting reports and documentation for external audits.
- Assist with other accounting-related tasks.
- Prepare reports and communicate with the headquarters in Korea.
Required Qualifications
- Accounting experience covering AP/AR invoicing and payment processing.
- Experience with month-end/year-end closing and audit documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Korean/English communication ability.
Work Authorization

Location & Schedule
- Onsite in Houston TX.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55000 - $60000 per year. During the initial 3-month probationary period 90% of the base salary is paid.

Required Skills:
Key Responsibilities: Manage and lead ISO 45001 certification processes and Safety & Health Compliance Team. Oversee EH&S fire prevention disaster prevention and emergency response programs across the entire facility. Conduct daily plant safety inspections and line walks to identify hazards unsafe behaviors and compliance gaps. Perform hazard identification risk mitigation equipment safety reviews and mechanical/ergonomic risk assessments. Conduct incident investigations corrective action tracking and root cause analysis. Facilitate fire brigade training in compliance with NFPA 600 and NFPA 1081. Conduct employee EH&S training new hire safety orientations and contractor safety programs. Develop and update site-specific safety programs to meet regulatory compliance. Coordinate and communicate with global EH&S teams to ensure alignment on safety standards. Collaborate with fire police EMS hazmat insurance and regulatory agencies as needed. Respond to emergencies and lead accident prevention and recurrence mitigation efforts. Lead cross-functional teams to promote a strong safety culture across the organization. Perform additional safety-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene Environmental Engineering or related field required. MBA or MS preferred (or equivalent relevant experience). Minimum 7 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Professional certifications strongly preferred: ASP CSP CIH CHMM. Extensive knowledge of OSHA EPA NFPA IFC standards fire codes and safety regulations. Experience managing ISO 45001 certification processes. Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional team management experience. Willingness to cross-train in other EH&S functional areas. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Preferred Skills: Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies automation chemical safety and electrical systems. Experience conducting technical data analysis safety audits and compliance reporting. Bilingual Korean-English required Strong interpersonal skills with a positive self-motivated and collaborative approach.
