Job Summary
Position: Knuckle Boom Operator
Work Location: Statesville NC 28625
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Duration: 3 Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
PPE: Safety glasses hearing protection and closed-toe shoes.
Job Description:
- Operate boom machinery and shredding equipment efficiently without causing jams.
- Feed correct foam materials into designated hoppers and shredders.
- Monitor hopper levels and prevent interruptions in production flow.
- Inspect scrap materials for foreign objects debris or contamination.
- Maintain accurate bale ticket and lot number records on Scrap Grinding forms.
- Ensure all bale tickets are collected and submitted to the Supervisor at the end of shift.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Operate industrial machinery and material handling equipment.
- Identify and report product process or system non-conformities.
- Recommend and support corrective actions and process solutions.
- Stop production processes if non-conforming products or unsafe conditions are identified.
- Assist with Mold and Blend Clean operations when required.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Keep work area clean and organized by sweeping and removing scrap materials.
- Dispose of waste materials in designated containers.
- Support overall plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
Qualifications:
- Boom and Forklift Certification required.
