Kitchen Steward

Great Circle Catering is a multifaceted catering company that cultivates teamwork individuality creativity and education. We operate a diverse commissary kitchen that caters by land air and sea. Our team gets to be creative and produce a variety of food ranging from fine dining to large-scale production. We are seeking an experienced kitchen steward to join our culinary team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work independently in the dish area cleaning dishes and pans

Accept food orders and put products away making sure to rotate stock properly

Help chefs with light food prep

Work on various assigned cleaning projects

Comply with all applicable sanitation regulations and safety standards

Communicate effectively with teammates and GCC leadership

Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clients

Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

3 years of verifiable work experience

Attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Excellent time management skills

Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure

Experience in large-scale production preferred

Ability to work a flexible schedule

ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain upon hire

Valid Drivers License

Reliable transportation

Must pass a drug screen and background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Ability to stand for long periods of time
