Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for completion of the following items in addition to those listed in the Job Description (see above):
- Coordinate and direct personnel and activities in school kitchens.
- Perform skilled cooking duties.
- Lead train and provide guidance to assistant cooks.
- Guide food production and ensure compliance with regulations on temperature appearance and portion sizes.
- Repeatedly lift and move cases pans of food and other materials of various weights.
- Calculate record and track production quantities and inventory.
- Order food produce dairy and bread products on weekly basis.
- Rotate stock and supplies per expiration dates.
- Pack and store food items for transportation to area schools and various meal sights.
- Store food according to food safety and health district guidelines.
- Serve meals following USDA guidelines.
- Obtain a current Food Worker Card issued by the Spokane Regional Health District (SRHD).
- Proof of immunization against Hepatitis A.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Successful WSP and FBI Fingerprint Clearance (fingerprints taken after hire and during initial onboarding).
- I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act.
- Completion of online workplace training within thirty (30) calendar days of hire.
