Read this part first:

We are not looking for someone to maintain three businesses. We are looking for someone to make them the best three KidStrong centers in the Country.

KidStrong is a childrens development program strong bodies strong minds strong character for kids from crawling through age 11.

We operate three centers across the Triangle with more coming. Each one has a General Manager and a coaching staff who genuinely care about the kids and community. What we dont have is one person sitting above all three accountable for the number at the bottom of the P&L and the look on a parents face during classes after a great class.

That is the job. Both of those things. At the same time. Neither one gets to be the excuse for the other.

If you want a title a desk and a predictable Tuesday this is not the role for you. If you have been running someone elses four-walls P&L and quietly thinking I could do this better and I should be paid like it keep reading.

The product is a 45-minute class

Everything else in this business is downstream of that.

Not the marketing. Not the funnel. Not the pricing. A kid walks in forty-five minutes happen and a parent decides consciously or not whether this is worth it. That decision gets made again every single week in every single class at every single center. Multiply it out and that is our entire P&L.

So we are obsessed with the class. Not committed to quality obsessed. Every block every rep every affirmation every high five every kid who gets called by name the second they walk through the door. The coach who knows which four year old needs an extra second before the balance beam. The award at the end that actually means something because the coach was watching.

We want a Regional Manager who watches classes the way a chef tastes food. Constantly. Instinctively. Unable to walk past a mediocre one. Someone who can stand at the back of a room see the energy dip in block four and know exactly what coaching conversation needs to happen after.

If reading that made you nod we should talk. If it sounded like a lot of fuss over a kids class we are not going to enjoy each other.

What youll own:

In this order. The order is not an accident.

The class.

Curriculum fidelity across all three centers. You know what a great KidStrong class looks like and you can teach someone else to run one. You observe real classes on a real schedule not a quarterly audit a weekly habit. You give coaches feedback that makes them better by next week. You catch drift before a parent does.

You own the standard: a family gets the same excellent class in Fuquay that they get in Cary. Same energy same structure same feeling walking out.

The team.

You manage our General Managers. You hire them train them coach them weekly hold them to a scorecard and when it comes to that replace them. Your job is to make every GM measurably better than they were when you arrived and to build a bench deep enough that no single departure knocks a center sideways.

Same for the coaching staff one level down: you set the hiring bar you protect it and you build the kind of place where great coaches want to stay. Coach turnover is a retention problem wearing a different hat. Kids get attached to their coach. So do parents.

The member experience.

Retention is where this business is won. You will know your cancellation reasons cold run the save conversations that matter and walk the floor during peak hours. Parents should feel like the coaches know their kid by name because the coaches actually do.

The numbers.

Full P&L responsibility across three locations. Revenue growth membership sales retention payroll as a percentage of revenue cost of goods everything. You will build the budget defend it and hit it. When a location misses you will already know why before I ask.

And you will hold both truths at once: we are here to make money and we make money by being undeniably good at the thing we sell. Anyone who tells you those are in tension has never run a great one.

Growth.

Lead generation community and school partnerships birthday parties camps parents night out local marketing that actually converts. Youll own the top of the funnel not just the close.

Operations.

Staffing and scheduling across three sites labor cost control facility standards safety compliance and consistency a family should get the same KidStrong experience in Fuquay that they get in Cary and so on.

Expansion.

We are opening more locations. You will help open them: site readiness hiring pre-sale and getting a new center to profitability faster than the last one.

What were looking for:

Non-negotiable:

- You have personally owned a P&L. Not executed someone elses budget built one carried it and been on the hook for the margin.
- You have managed managers. Multi-unit experience strongly preferred. Leading front line staff only is not the same job and we both know it.
- You are genuinely good with kids and with parents. This is a childrens business. Sales polish without real warmth fails here in about one week.
- You will work nights weekends and where there are members in the centers. Our peak is after school and weekend mornings. That is when the members are here so that is when you are here.

Strongly preferred:

Multi-unit franchise boutique fitness youth sports or childcare background fluency in membership/recurring-revenue businesses comfort with a CRM and a P&L in the same afternoon a valid drivers license and reliable transportation between all sites.

The money:

Im not going to post a range and let it anchor the conversation for both of us.

Heres the honest version: this is a base salary plus performance compensation and the performance side is uncapped and tied to things you actually control revenue growth profitability and retention. If you grow this business you will make more than you would running a single location for someone else. If you dont you wont. I would rather overpay the right person than underpay the wrong one.

Also on the table: paid time off a free KidStrong membership for your own kids and for the right operator over time a conversation about equity or a profit interest in future locations.

How to apply:

Do not send a generic resume and a cover letter youve sent to nine other places. It wont get read.

Send me your resume plus a short note a page is plenty that answers three things:

1. What do you want to earn Give me a real number and the structure you want it in. Tell me what portion should be base and what portion youd rather earn on performance. Break it down. Dont hedge.

2. What will you do for the business to justify it Be specific. What are the first things youd change What do you think drives growth and retention in a kids membership business What have you personally done before that makes you confident you can do it here

3. Tell me about the best team you ever built or the best product you ever obsessed over. It doesnt have to be fitness. It doesnt even have to be kids. I want to know what it looks like when you refuse to let something be average.

I read every one of these myself. A candidate who names a big number and backs it up with a real plan will always get further with me than a candidate who names a safe number and says nothing.
