Job Summary
Kennel connected to a well-established exotic and companion animal veterinary practice in Yorktown Virginia is looking for a part time kennel technician.
Candidates must be able to:
- Work independently
- Have strong communication skills
- Be proficient with computers and new software
- Have their own reliable transportation
- Be able to work efficiently
Duties Include:
- Leash walking small and large dogs
- Monitoring canine interactions during Doggie Day Care
- Feeding and medicating both dogs and cats
- Performing basic nail trims on dogs and cats
- Bathing Dogs
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kennel and runs
- Interacting with our clientele during drop off and pick up procedures
- Using our computer system to make reservations and check clients in and out.
- Completing daily weekly and monthly tasks that support continued operations of the kennel.
Previous experience as a kennel technician is preferred. Knowledge of basic pet care and husbandry is a must. This position requires that candidates be available for work on Thursday Saturdays and Sundays with holiday coverage as needed.
Job Types: Part-time
Salary: $16.00 per hour
