FLSA Status: Exempt Full-Time

Reports To: Director of Curriculum and Instruction

POSITION SUMMARY

The K5 Instructional Coach partners with classroom teachers to strengthen elementary instruction through co-planning modeling observation data analysis and professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary endorsement

• Minimum of five (5) years of successful elementary teaching experience

• Satisfactory criminal background check

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coach teachers one-on-one and in small groups through co-planning modeling co-teaching and structured observation cycles

• Analyze assessment data with the principal and school data team to identify instructional priorities

• Introduce and support implementation of research-based instructional strategies and curriculum fidelity

• Build teacher capacity to use assessment tools and respond to individual student needs

• Collaborate with the principal to develop and facilitate targeted professional development

• Meet regularly with other instructional coaches to align practices across GEE campuses

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role including lifting bending stooping squatting and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
