Junior Systems Engineer Active TSSCI

Peraton is currently seeking to hire aJunior Systems Engineer for its Federal Strategic Cyber program.

Location: Washington DC

In this role you will:

• Support the configuration maintenance and troubleshooting of systems across the programs infrastructure.
• Possess handson experience working in Linux environments along with practical familiarity using OpenWRTbased systems.
• Apply strong technical problemsolving skills and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Assist with installation configuration and maintenance of systems and network devices.
• Support troubleshooting and rootcause analysis for system issues.
• Implement updates patches and configuration changes.
• Maintain documentation and configuration records.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on technical tasks and project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in systems engineering IT operations or a related technical field. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of the bachelors degree.
• Proficiency with Linux (administration commandline operations configuration).
• Working familiarity with OpenWRT (router firmware configuration network setup package management).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP routing firewalls).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting (Bash Python).
• Exposure to embedded systems or network appliances.
• Familiarity with Git or other versioncontrol tools.
