The Financial Services division is currently recruiting a proactive and meticulous Junior Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our finance this essential capacity the successful candidate will facilitate routine accounting activities play a key role in the month-end closing procedures and guarantee the precision of our financial data. Responsibilities
- Execute the recording and management of daily monetary transactions covering accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger postings.
- Aid in the compilation of financial statements and reports for monthly quarterly and annual review cycles.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify that internal ledger figures align with external bank statements.
- Provide assistance to senior accounting staff during critical closing periods at the conclusion of months and fiscal years.
- Ensure financial records are current organized and compliant with both internal protocols and external regulatory mandates.
- Detect and rectify inconsistencies within financial data escalating complex matters to leadership as needed.
- Partner with various departments to deliver precise financial information necessary for budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Requirements
- Possession of a Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a closely related discipline.
- One to three years of relevant professional experience in accounting or a comparable position within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated capability in managing general ledgers and applying core accounting principles.
- Solid comprehension of financial reporting standards and compliance frameworks.
- Superior analytical abilities paired with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in utilizing accounting software platforms and Microsoft Excel.
- Capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced setting.
