About The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Staff Accountant to join our growing team. Based at our headquarters in Asbury Park NJ this hybrid role offers the opportunity to build your career with a leading company in the renewable energy sector.

Were looking for an energetic and organized accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of financial principles and a proactive this role youll be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions including financial reporting budgeting analysis audit preparation and ensuring compliance with financial standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and enter month end and other required journal entries.
  • Prepare and record asset liability revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc financial analyses and reports.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and compliance with internal policies.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Solar Landscapes accounting systems programs and procedures.
  • Support external audit processes including preparing work papers and reports.
  • Contribute on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university required
  • 1 years of relevant accounting experience ideally with exposure to real estate or solar energy project fund accounting.
  • Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to effectively collaborate with other business functions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel. Experience with Microsoft BusinessCentral or Dynamics 365 is a plus.
$55000 - $65000 a year

Salary will vary depending on your location and job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive-based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
