Job Opportunities Senior Procurement Specialist

• Under general supervision plans sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing field operations or project management
• Complies with and executes Category Management strategy in accordance with policies and procedures
• Creates request for quotations (RFQ) or organizes competitive biddings from various suppliers to obtain best quality delivery and price for goods and services (RFI-request for information/RFP-request for proposal)
• Manage complex procurement activities high-value expenditures supplier relationships and performance reviews.
• Utilize SAP S/4HANA and other procurement/ERP systems to manage purchasing activities supplier information transactions and reporting
• Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management
• Assesses supplier performance and conducts reviews with suppliers
• May be responsible for complex operations or large expenditures
• May lead in the development of less experienced Procurement Specialists
• Job tasks impact cost containment efficiency profitability or operations
• Undergraduate degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields
• Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience (2) additional job requirements and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education experience and skill level a variety of job opportunities might be available from the Senior Procurement Specialist up to a Supervisor level
