The Vice President Plumbing Division is responsible for managing operational performance for the Plumbing Division.

Salary Range: $175000 - $220000:

  • Member of local Plumbers Union / JCH Contributing to Union benefits

Annual Salary range $175k to $185k plus union benefits

  • NOT a member of local Plumbers Union

Annual Salary range $190k to $220k plus Standard JCH benefits

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the Plumbing Divisions estimating and project management teams through the entire project cycle from bid to project delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the J.C. Higgins CEO & President operating independently effectively and within the timelines of agreed upon initiatives.
  • Lead the Plumbing department in developing the processes/procedures necessary to ensure operational and financial performance.
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly project reviews with CEO President CFO Controller and project managers to evaluate job performance assess risks and develop action plans.
  • Motivate and advance the Plumbing department to ensure alignment with the Companys operational vision and able to empower direct reports to perform at even higher levels. Instill an attitude of service in the Plumbing department and organization.
  • Practice and promote EMCOR and J.C. Higgins Code of Ethics Leading with Character in conducting business both internally and externally.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The Vice President Plumbing Division is responsible for managing directing and leading the Plumbing department which includes Estimators Project Managers Project Engineers and other administrative support staff.

Position Requirements/Preferred Education and Experience

  • 10-15 years Plumbing/Mechanical industry experience that includes progressive management positions in the Plumbing/Mechanical contracting industry.
  • Journeyman/Master Plumbing experience.
  • Familiarity with construction contract language.
  • Experience with assembling Budgets based on conceptual plans / schematics.
  • Familiarity with construction means and methods.
  • Understanding of principles methods and techniques of plumbing/mechanical architectural civil and electrical engineering.
  • Evaluate proposals from vendors and/or subcontractors for compliance with scope of work.

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Office expertise including Excel skills; experience with estimating and schedule software a plus.
