Java Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Engineer to serve as a hands-on technical contributor and subject matter expert within a complex enterprise environment. This individual will design develop test and support scalable applications while partnering closely with product and engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges.

The ideal candidate brings deep Java/Spring expertise modern front-end development experience strong knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices and experience working across the full software development lifecycle.

• Design develop configure test and optimize enterprise applications and supporting technologies.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop secure high-quality applications following established SDLC/PDLC and secure coding standards.
• Create technical design documentation and participate in architecture and solution discussions.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and JSON-based services.
• Perform unit integration and functional testing.
• Conduct peer code reviews and promote software engineering standards design patterns and development best practices.
• Partner with Product Engineering DevOps and other technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Support CI/CD DevOps test automation databases and application environments.
• Provide production support including troubleshooting root cause analysis incident management and service requests.
• Operate as a senior individual contributor with limited supervision and independent technical judgment.

• 10 years of software engineering/application development experience.
• Strong Java development experience preferably Java 8.
• Strong Spring ecosystem experience including Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Integration and Spring Security.
• Front-end development experience with Angular TypeScript JavaScript ES6 HTML5 and CSS3.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience including Oracle.
• REST APIs and JSON integrations.
• CI/CD and DevOps experience with tools such as Jenkins GitHub and GitLab.
• Secure coding and application security practices.
• Unit integration and functional testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/PDLC software engineering principles and data modeling.

• AWS and cloud technologies.
• WebSphere Application Server or Liberty and MQ.
• Docker Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• NgRx and RxJS.
• Connect and shell scripting.
• Python development experience.
• Agentic AI development tools including Claude Code.
• Experience incorporating AI-assisted development into enterprise software engineering workflows.

• Excellent technical and business communication skills.
• Strong analytical debugging and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently within complex enterprise environments.
• Strong collaboration with Product Engineering Architecture and business stakeholders.
