Janitor / Building Maintenance Part Time
Location: Santa Monica CA
Temporary: 1 week coverage
Schedule: Monday Wednesday Friday 7:30 am 4:00 pm
We are looking for a temporary reliable Janitor/Building Maintenance worker to do general janitorial duties oversee all installations repairs and upkeep operations of the building while a worker is out on vacation time. Temporary 1 week assignment which could lead to additional opportunities at other job sites including long term.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma preferred.
Experience: Experience with janitorial routine.
Abilities:
Good communication skills; able to understand and follow directions.
Ability to perform minor repairs.
Flexibility and reliability.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Daily:
Weekly
Reports all maintenance repairs needed to the Property Manager.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Clean and maintain entry lobby including cleaning of windows doors mopping floors vacuuming carpetsetc. at least daily and more if necessary to maintain excellent entrance appeal.
- Garage area cleaning includes: garage area utility rooms policing of trash rooms sweeping floor surfaces where needed.
- Vacuums hallways Wipe handrails.
- Dust furniture chairs tables plants and mail box area.
Cleans community bathrooms more if necessary to maintain in a sanitary manner. - Remove marks dust and smudges from walls doors frames switches plug outlets woodwork mullions and floor trim molding.
Police outer perimeter of building for trash and debris including sidewalks and alley.
Weekly
- Vacuum upholstered furniture.
- Vacuum corners and edges.
Clean elevators. - Dust throughout the building to include blinds window frames window sills chair rungs tables legs and bases ledges wood paneling molding handrails and railings signs tops of frames light fixtures globes and paying attention to cobwebs in and outside.
- Clean inner stairwells.
- Sweep garage entrance ramp.
- Hose down outside perimeter of building including sidewalks and entrance areas.
Reports all maintenance repairs needed to the Property Manager.
