Washington County Jail is taking applications for a part-time jailer. Employees may work all shifts and weekends - current shifts are 12-hour shifts. Looking for male and female applicants to work part-time.

Under general supervision jailers ensure the protection welfare and security of inmates while maintaining compliance with the Code of Iowa U.S. Constitution and Iowa Jail Standards.

Starting pay will be $25.48 per hour; applicants with prior jail or corrections experience may start at a higher rate of pay.
