IT Support Specialist

This role provides technical support to ensure the smooth operation of IT and audio-visual (AV) systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsible for general day to date support to include but not limited to as much of the following as possible:

• Assist in setting up maintaining and troubleshooting hardware software and network systems
• Provide first-line technical support for end-users addressing issues with computers printers and mobile devices
• Perform basic system updates installations and configurations
• Assist in the setup operation and maintenance of AV equipment such as projectors microphones speakers and video conferencing systems
• Support live events including meetings webinars and presentations ensuring AV equipment functions seamlessly
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues during events or regular operations
• Maintain accurate records of IT and AV equipment inventory
• Document and track support tickets solutions and system changes
• Report recurring technical issues and suggest potential improvements
• Work closely with senior IT staff to learn and grow technical skills
• Provide basic IT and AV training to end-users as needed

• Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years experience required.

• Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware software and networking.
  • Familiarity with audio-visual technology including common AV setups and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with AV platforms such as Zoom Microsoft Teams or similar.
  • Understanding of video editing or basic multimedia production.
  • Basic knowledge of cabling and signal flow for IT and AV systems.
