Job Summary/Description:
KYTV is seeking a skilled and customer-centric IT Support Specialist to join our technology this role you will be the first line of support for our employees ensuring our hardware software and network systems run seamlessly. From troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues to maintaining critical broadcast and business infrastructure your work will directly empower our teams to deliver high-quality media to the communities we serve.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical Support: Provide prompt professional technical assistance for hardware software operating systems (Windows/macOS) and mobile devices.
- System Maintenance: Install configure and maintain workstation software peripherals virtual servers network connections and system backups
- User Management: Onboard new employees by setting up accounts permissions and workstation hardware.
- Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve network printer and application issues escalating complex problems to senior engineering teams when necessary.
- Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate IT inventory records and document technical support guides and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in an IT helpdesk desktop support or technical support specialist role.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems Active Directory Office 365 Networking protocols and virtual servers.
- Teamwork: Be willing to work with the engineering department on system deployments and with corporate IT/Engineering on projects. Comfortable with end-user support.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Other: Valid Drivers license and good driving record (will be reviewed). Ability to be on-call. Exercise highest level of discretion when handling confidential information.
