The University of Arizonas Information Technology Services (UITS) invites you to apply to the role of IT Support Computing Analyst III.

The IT Support Analyst III serves as a key member of the Enterprise Support team providing advanced technical expertise to ensure reliable secure and efficient technology services that support the Universitys teaching research and administrative mission. This position delivers high-level technical assistance to end users supports enterprise systems and collaborates with IT partners across campus to implement and maintain institutional technology solutions.

This is an in-person position based at the University of Arizona Tucson Campus and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support to faculty staff anddesignated campus colleagues diagnosing and resolving complex hardwaresoftware and network issues.
  • Install configure and maintain desktops laptops mobiledevices and related technologies ensuring systems remain current secure andoptimized.
  • Manage softwaredeployment updates and licensing; troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Utilize enterprise administrative tools like Azure InTuneJAMF and Active Directory to support end user technologies in coordinationwith other IT teams.
  • Coordinate the configuration installation andtroubleshooting of applications and system integrations.
  • Perform hardwaremaintenance repairs upgrades and component replacements as needed.
  • Monitortroubleshoot and optimize campus network connectivity and performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory servicerequests incidents and resolutions.
  • Train and guidefaculty staff and DCCs in the effective and secure use of universitytechnology resources.
  • Collaborate with ITteams on institution-wide initiatives such as system upgrades deploymentsand new technology rollouts.
  • Act as a mentor to fellow teammates in the development oftheir technical and customer service skills.
  • Collaborate withsupport to refer clients to other University resources and train them on theproper use of those resources.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommendsolutions that enhance the Universitys IT environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Active Directory Microsoft 365 andendpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service andeffective communication.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting hardware and softwarein a mixed Windows and macOS environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced service.

Physical Requirement:

  • This position requires the ability to lift carry and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Experience providing IT support in a higher education or enterprise environment.
