Were searching for an experienced and proactive IT Manager to build and lead the IT infrastructure and support for our new location. This is a unique opportunity to shape the technology foundation for both our office and manufacturing environments. Your hands-on technical skills and leadership will be key to ensuring our systems are not only robust and secure but also perfectly aligned with our production goals and business objectives.
Responsibilities
What youll do...
Infrastructure and Operations Management:
- Maintain site infrastructure: Oversee and maintain all local IT infrastructure including servers networks (LAN/WAN Wi-Fi) workstations and security systems.
- Manage production technology: Provide support for IT-connected manufacturing systems such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) ERP and other IoT (Internet of Things) devices on the shop floor.
- Ensure availability and continuity: Implement disaster recovery business continuity and escalation plans to minimize downtime and ensure continuous availability of critical production IT services.
- Oversee daily IT functions: Monitor system performance and uptime manage help desk workflows and handle daily IT support and service delivery
Monitoring and security:
- Monitor IT systems: Track operational data and monitor systems for performance reliability and efficiency to ensure production targets are met.
Enforce cybersecurity: Implement and enforce corporate cybersecurity policies to protect sensitive company data and systems. This includes monitoring for threats and ensuring data backups. - Conduct system audits: Run regular system audits to ensure compliance with IT policies licensing and security standards.
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to relevant industry regulations and internal company policies especially those related to data integrity and electronic records in specific industries like pharmaceuticals or defense.
- Align with corporate strategy: Act as the liaison between the local site and other IT functions ensuring that local technology initiatives and policies align with enterprise-wide strategies.
- Manage IT budget: Assist in planning and managing the local IT budget for new equipment software and operational expenses.
- Manage vendors: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts manage relationships and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
Support and Continuous Improvement:
- Coordinate technical support: Coordinate onsite helpdesk groups responsible for employees support troubleshooting hardware software and network issues.
- Optimize processes: Identify opportunities for process improvement automation and system upgrades to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Document procedures: Create and maintain documentation for systems processes configurations and disaster recovery plans.
Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard operating and rotational shift schedules encompassing day night weekend and holiday shifts.
Qualifications
Youll have...
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of IT experience preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting including experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- 5 years of experience troubleshooting and administering networking elements including LAN/WAN VPN VLANs firewalls and TCP/IP.
- 5 years of Experience with Windows Server Active Directory Office 365 cloud solutions.
- 5 years of experience supporting production-specific hardware and software (e.g. barcode scanners MES industrial PCs).
- 5 years of experience supporting end user devices and technologies including cellphones laptops printers tablets and peripherals. Android Mac and MS Windows
- 5 years of experience managing IT helpdesk teams

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115500-$218100.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidates skills and experience and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope responsibility and competitive market value.
