IT Help Desk Technician

The School District of Denmark is looking for an individual to provide front-line technical support across district buildings. This entry-level role requires strong customer service organizational skills and a desire to troubleshoot and learn. Associate degree in IT Technology support or related field preferred.

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework or technology experience preferred.
• Customer Service & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly with staff and students.
• Organization & Efficiency: Ability to work efficiently stay organized and maintain high attention to detail.
• Compliance & Privacy: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to district policies including FERPA and COPPA guidelines for student data privacy.
• Adaptability & Learning: Strong willingness to learn basic troubleshooting for hardware software and network issues.
• Technical Familiarity (Preferred): Basic familiarity with Apple devices Windows OS Chromebooks and general educational technology systems.

• Help Desk Support: Manage daily help desk requests across 3 district buildings assisting teachers and students with account logins password resets and routine tech issues.
• Customer Service & Ticketing: Answer phone calls log and manage incoming help desk tickets and collaborate effectively with staff and IT team members.
• Inventory & Asset Management: Maintain device inventory track district hardware and manage daily loaner equipment systems and deployment.
• Basic Hardware Troubleshooting: Perform basic physical troubleshooting on classroom display boards IP phones cables and peripheral hardware (on-the-job training provided).
• Pay Range
  21.37 per hour or based on experience
