Position Title: PC Technician / IT Helpdesk

Department: IT

Supervisor Title: IT Supervisor

Summary

While upholding the Star Valley Health mission vision and values this key position provides primary technical support for internal employees. Provides end-user training and performs other related duties as assigned. This is an at will position.

Job Duties

Process IT trouble tickets in a timely and accurate manner.

Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.

Works with employees to clearly identify and resolve hardware software and service related problems.

Resolves and/or escalates employee problems or system wide problems in a timely manner.

Trains employees on software applications systems and services.

Setup new employee accounts and provide training

Maintains systems support and archiving procedures performs daily server tape backups.

Install test and configure new workstations peripheral equipment and software.

Documents and maintains the companys software and computer hardware inventories.

Schedules and performs routine maintenance equipment activities minimizing impact to end-users.

Assists in research application and recommendation of new technologies and products.

Participate in IT on-call schedule

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Abilities & Skills:

Working knowledge of Internet email systems telecommunications and data communications

Standard operating systems software packages and software utilities

Proper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments

Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon requirements and need

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Experience & Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

One year of experience of operating maintaining upgrading and configuring PC hardware software and associated peripheral equipment.

Applicable IT related certifications and equivalent years of experience are acceptable.
