The IT Engineer IV Cloud Platform Solutions is a senior-level engineering role focused on driving enterprise cloud strategy architecture and platform enablement. This position combines hands-on engineering expertise with architecture leadership to build scale and optimize secure resilient and high-performing cloud environments across the organization.

The IT Engineer IV Cloud Platform Solutions plays a key role in designing implementing and evolving enterprise cloud capabilities aligned to business and technology strategy. This role is responsible for leading cloud adoption establishing standards and enabling engineering teams through scalable platform solutions.

This position also serves as a technical leader and subject matter expert providing guidance across cloud architecture DevOps practices and platform engineering while ensuring operational stability and performance.

Lead the design and implementation of cloud architecture and platform strategy aligned to enterprise goals
Architect and deliver secure scalable and resilient solutions across AWS and/or Azure environments
Drive cloud enablement through reusable infrastructure patterns templates and self-service capabilities
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and automated CI/CD pipelines to support modern DevOps practices
Establish and enforce cloud governance standards including policy-as-code security controls and compliance frameworks
Partner with application security and architecture teams to support cloud migration strategies (rehost refactor replatform rearchitect)
Implement and enhance observability practices including monitoring logging and reliability engineering standards
Drive cost optimization and FinOps practices including cloud usage analysis and efficiency improvements
Provide technical leadership mentoring and guidance to engineering teams across the organization

This level of knowledge is typically acquired through a bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience

10 years of experience in cloud engineering platform engineering or enterprise architecture roles
Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes) and modern application architectures
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Azure Architect Expert) preferred
