Job Summary
SCOPE OF WORK The IT Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across all software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology REQUIREMENTSUses Gaylor Performance Values as tools to fulfill all job responsibilitiesPossesses an outgoing amiable personality and desire to help othersEffective communication skills both verbal and writtenKnowledgeable in the Windows desktop environmentMaintains confidentiality of all Company informationExcellent time management skills and ability to multitaskRESPONSIBILITIES Maintains appropriate records files and documentationResponds to support requests and takes necessary steps to resolve problemsDocuments support issues and solutionsRemote problem-solving through use of remote connection toolsDiagnoses Windows and PC hardware issuesLaptop tablet cell phone configurations and deploymentsBasic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issuesPerforms data migrations and assists in data restorations on local devicesWORKING CONDITIONS Must be able to work scheduled hours as well as overtime as required on short noticeMust be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situationsMust work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasksPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSMust be able to wear personnel protective equipment (i.e. hard hat safety glasses gloves high visibility vest safety harness etc.) when requiredRepetitive use of arms hands and fingersPossess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)Ability to work while sitting or standing for long periodsMust be able to lift up to 20 pounds at timesEDUCATIONCompTIA A preferred; may be obtained within first year of employmentEXPERIENCEPrevious desktop support or IT helpdesk experience preferred
