Job Summary
This vacancy is for a IT Cybersecurity Specialist in the Bureau of Industry and Security within the Department of Commerce.
As a IT Cybersecurity Specialist you will perform the following duties:
- Serves as a technical expert on cybersecurity issues involving technologies and services under the jurisdiction of the Department of Commerce.
- Leads and reviews requirements for technical projects involving information systems and cybersecurity matters.
- Develops and formulates regulatory policy evaluations and recommendations involving technology and services.
- Serves as an Office liaison with industry and integrates industry economic and regulatory concerns into Department regulations.
- Leads multi-agency working groups or task forces and prepares briefing materials for senior Department officials.
- Develops revises and writes technical portions of agency guidelines affecting industry and government stakeholders.

- This position requires a TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE: Any required investigations and clearances must be completed before the selectee can be placed in the position.
