The Attorney Generals Office is recruiting for a permanent fulltimeIT Application Developer - Entryin the Information Services Division. This position is located in Tumwater Washington and is not union-represented.

IT Application Development Entry Salary range 04IT: $79812 - $107328
The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the preferred candidates job-related knowledge skills and experience.

About the Information Services Division

The Information Services Division (ISD) provides strategic technology leadership support and consulting for legal technologies and platforms.

ISD leads the design development and delivery of all AGO technology systems and applications including enterprise infrastructure voice services and secure network environments. The division also maintains the operations of software and cloud platforms (private and public) to provide AGO staff access to their confidential work product and communications ensuring solutions are tailored to the AGOs unique legal and operational needs.

ISD has multiple units that provide project management and business analysis service electronic library services custom software development business intelligence data management services and eDiscovery litigation technical support. Through rigorous governance and cybersecurity controls. ISD ensures compliance with state governance policies/standards and that all technology services function properly and securely.

Duties and Essential Functions of an IT Application Development Entry

This position uses an agile development methodology innovation and creativity to complete assignments. The position provides analysis development QA implementation maintenance testing troubleshooting and problem resolution for division specific and agency-wide high risk/high impact mission-critical custom developed applications off-the-shelf software customizations system integrations and databases.

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrable technical problem-solving skills the interest and desire to understand complex business processes and the desire to learn and grow as a software developer.

This position provides software development and maintenance for new projects and solutions enhancements to existing custom software solutions off the shelf software customizations and software integrations.

Specific duties include:

• Provide software application development for performance metric tracking applications and approval workflows.
• Integrate custom applications and data with other systems utilizing approved Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
• Perform customizations and integrations with off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
• Provide troubleshooting and bug fixes for custom developed solutions.
• Develop dashboard/reporting platforms and associated Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
• Perform testing and quality assurance for custom developed solutions.

Required Qualifications

Option 1: Six (6) years of professional experience such as analyzing designing and programming software applications OR a combination of education and/or relevant IT experience.

Option 2: An Associate degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering Business or related field and at least four (4) years of experience such as analyzing designing programming software applications OR a combination of education and/or relevant IT experience.

Option 3: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Business or related field; and at least two (2) years of experience such as analyzing designing programming software applications OR a combination of education and/or relevant IT experience.

AND

Additionally provide proof of at least one year experience within the past four years and demonstrate proficiency developing applications or other software solutions using the following programming skills languages software and programs:

• or MVC C#
• JavaScript HTML CSS
• Framework Libraries (4.0 or above)
• SQL and Transact-SQL
• Microsoft Visual Studio or equivalent
• SQL Server Management Studio or equivalent
