Position: Intellectual Property Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $90$100/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Construct IP scenarios for patent prosecution portfolio strategy and complex licensing or technology transfer processes.
• Build tasks across patent prosecution IP litigation trademark and copyright practice and freedom-to-operate analysis.
• Develop scenarios using tools such as patent search platforms (PatSnap Innography USPTO PatFT) and IP docketing systems (Anaqua CPA Global).
• Apply IP methodologies like patentability analysis and claim construction to US and International standards (35 U.S.C. MPEP EPC PCT WIPO treaties).
• Author rubrics that distinguish authentic IP judgment from generic recall.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5 years as an IP attorney or patent agent at a major IP firm or corporate IP department.
• Direct ownership of patent prosecution portfolios licensing negotiations or IP litigation matters.
• Fluency in IP tooling and methodologies understanding of USPTO/EPO procedure and international treaty systems.

Preferred

• Recognized professional credential (JD with bar admission USPTO patent bar registration or international equivalent).
• Technical/STEM background plus prior rubric or training authorship.
