iOS Software Engineer, Agentic systems Special Projects

Were a small team at Apple betting on what comes next. We believe AI will fundamentally change how people interact with their devices and were looking for iOS engineers who want to build that future. We cant say much about what were building for our customers. What we can say: the problems are genuinely new and the potential reach is enormous. Beyond the work were a collaborative humble and curious group that loves learning from each other and building together.

Youll work alongside a tight group of engineers designers and researchers to bring AI features from early prototype to product. This is 0-to-1 work from a rough idea on a whiteboard to software running on real devices. Youll have a lot of autonomy in how you get there. This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including:

Implementation and optimization of agentic systems that manage context and orchestrate toolsn Partner with ML and AI researchers to translate cutting-edge models into tangible featuresn Prototyping ideas to support feature definition and iteration n Clearly communicate technical concepts to cross functional partnersn Collaboration on architecture discussions and code review

Strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals - BS Computer Science or equivalent experience n 3 years of iOS development experience or equivalent product or systems engineering experiencen Practical knowledge of how LLM-powered systems work including prompt engineering and agent frameworksn Experience with coding agentsn Curiosity about new technologies flexibility and openness to ambiguity

The following skills are not required but one or more of these areas would be valuable:nn Experience building LLM/Agentic systemsn Understanding of how to leverage coding agents effectively and translate that experience into insightsn Track record of working cross-functionally and building strong partnerships amongst teams and individuals
