Inventory Control Specialist

Now Hiring: Inventory Control SpecialistLocation: Boise ID YardWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at our Boise ID Yard location. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory records supporting efficient warehouse operations and ensuring inventory transactions are accurately reflected within company Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain inventory accuracy by monitoring inventory transactions quantities and costs within inventory management and analyze inventory-related information from shipping and receiving documents requisitions contracts accounting reports and other operational scheduled cycle counts and inventory audits comparing physical inventory to system records to identify and resolve inventory variances through physical verification transaction research and system inventory adjustments and corrections as necessary to maintain accurate inventory assign and maintain Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) numbers in accordance with established inventory classification and update SKU master files including item additions modifications and and review inventory reports to identify trends discrepancies negative inventory balances and stock availability inventory performance metrics and communicate findings to management as with operational teams to improve inventory accuracy and support inventory control to all company safety policies procedures and regulations to promote a safe working in required safety meetings and training programs and recommend improvements to safety practices when other duties and responsibilities as QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent of one (1) year of experience in inventory control warehouse operations logistics supply chain or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and Environment and Physical RequirementsWork is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying temperatures weather conditions equipment noise and lift carry push and pull materials weighing up to 25 lift or move materials weighing up to 80 be required to perform physical activities including climbing lifting reaching bending kneeling stooping and prolonged standing or walking.
