Job Description: Inventory & Materials HandlerJob Title: Inventory & Materials HandlerDepartment: Operations / Materials ManagementReports To: Receiving SupervisorLocation: Union MOPosition SummaryThe Inventory & Materials Specialist is responsible for overseeing the flow accuracy and availability of raw materials components and finished goods within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures production has the materials required to meet schedules maintains accurate inventory records and supports continuous improvement in material handling storage and logistics ResponsibilitiesInventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials and workinprogressPerform regular cycle counts and support full physical and resolve inventory discrepancies inventory transactions in the ERP/MRP system and ensure proper CoordinationIssue materials for production orders and ensure timely replenishment of production and stage materials according to production & Warehouse OperationsOrganize and maintain a clean safe and efficient warehouse proper labeling storage and handling of materials according to company jacks and materialhandling equipment safely (training provided if needed).Production SupportCommunicate daily with production supervisors regarding material needs or continuous improvement efforts (5S lean initiatives waste reduction).QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED.2 years of inventory materials handling or warehouse experience (manufacturing preferred).Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle Epicor etc.).Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record to lift 4050 pounds and work on feet for extended certification or willingness to obtain degree in supply chain logistics or related with lean 5S or continuous improvement of inventory control best practices (FIFO cycle counting etc.).Key CompetenciesStrong organizational and timemanagement communication with crossfunctional and rootcause analysis for inventory and ability to work proficiency in Excel and inventory reporting ConditionsManufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery noise and varying use of materialhandling require occasional overtime based on production needs.
